Pittsburgh made it to the top of The Associated Press' college basketball poll for the first time and it wasn't even close. The Panthers (14-0) took advantage of losses by season-long unanimous No. 1 North Carolina and No. 2 Connecticut to make the jump from third to first Monday, receiving all but two of the first-place votes from the national media panel.
Griffin's 20 and 16 help Sooners roll (AP)
Even without coach Jeff Capel on the bench, it was business as usual for No. 6 Oklahoma. The Sooners reached the century mark for the first time this season, easily beating Maryland Eastern Shore 100-64 on Monday night while Capel was being treated in a hospital for a stomach virus. Michigan State, No. 8 in latest Top 25 poll, has won seven straight since being routed by North Carolina.
