MUST HAVE!!!! AMAZING BOOK March 10, 2010 Dr. G Well where do I begin. I have been on a one year journey of weight loss and fitness. I have done it all. I did tae bo for 4 or 5 months, tried jogging, bike riding, etc. I lost 30 lbs by focusing on mostly cardio. While i lost the weight, I still felt "soft" and wondered why I didn't look like I imagined I would after losing that much weight. I was missing strength/resistance training. If you really want to be healthy, you need to add strength training to your workouts ladies. If you are a novice, have no idea where to start, GET THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!! Its comprehensive, there are great workouts in the back (i am currently doing the 6 week, bikini body workout), and I feel like i am learning to be a real athlete. 3 weeks in I already see and feel a change in my body. i am more flexible, and I am losing the softness. Get this book if you are new to fitness and if you are an expert.

I love this book! I work out at home and I ordered this book to help me with my total body weight lifting. I was unaware that the book also included a diet plan and several workout plans. I have been following both the diet and the main workout routine for a week and I am so encouraged. The diet is simple the workout is great. This book was so much more than I expected it to be. Tons of exercises. The bulk of the book is exercise demonstrations which is wonderful; some intro material and then exercises. The books provides several variations of certain exercises. A variety of equipment can be used. I personally use dumbells, a step, and a stability ball. However, there are demonstrated exercises where you use only your body weight. This book gets straight to it and is simplistic. Truly refreshing not to have to jump through hoops of fire to recieve sound exercise and fitness advice.

I've recently lost 55 lbs and plan to lose 30 more. I want to incorporate more strength straining, and this book has been great. All of the full color pictures and sdetailed instructions make me feel really comfortable in the gym. Plus, they lay out a lot of varied workout plans. Very helpful!

I just received this book in the mail and I am much happier with it than I could have ever expected. The book is comprised of the following: a FAQ section, a diet and exercise plan, 14 exercise programs to choose from, a nutrition chapter, a cardio chapter, and chapters of exercises for each of the following: chest, back, shoulders, arms, quads & calves, glutes & hamstrings, core, total body, and warmup exercises. The pictures in the book are very clear and easy to follow. As for the equipment needed, I've found that most of the chapters have exercises that can be done with or without access to a gym.
My favorite part about this book is the chapter on different exercise programs. This book offers the following exercise plans: "The Get Your Body Back Workout," "The Best Workouts for a Crowded Gym," "The Skinny Jeans Workout," "The Bikini Ready Workout," "The Wedding Workout," "The Hard Body Workout," "The Lose the Last 10 Pounds Workout," "The Best Sports Workout," "The Best Three Exercise Workouts," "The Prenatal Workout," "The Time Saving Couples Workout," "The Best Body-Weight Workouts," "The Best 15 Minute Workouts," and "The Spartacus Workout."
Overall, I would highly recommend this product. This is the only book I'll ever need for weight lifting exercises!

This is a really great book, I have The Muscle and Fitness Hers strength training book for women, which I've got years ago, and I needed it an upgrade on strength training for women and this the Womens Health book came out at the right time. It is easy to understand, the chapters/exercises are broken down by body parts. And normally starts from easiest or basic workouts and works up to different and more difficult versions of that specific workout. Each chapter specifies which body parts the workouts are for. It is really written for women because the exercises that it has are the best to build a women's great physic. I already try a lot of the workouts, I loved the workout put together at the end of the hamstrings chapter, I saw changes in my legs immediately. I love it! Now I am putting together a great upper body workout, with emphasis on shoulders. I also can't wait to try the Spartacus workout. Looks like a great fat burning workout. This book was a great upgrade to my old strength training book, I am very happy with my purchase and it was worth the money.
